CILT International President, Chief Teete OWUSU-NORTEY FCILT, pays a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, King of the Ga State in Ghana
In recognition of the vital role traditional rulers play in national and community development, the CILT International President, Chief Teete OWUSU-NORTEY FCILT, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, King of the Ga State in Ghana, at his private residence in Accra.
Accompanying the CILT International President on this visit were Dr. Doreen Owusu-Fianko FCILT, the Global Deputy Chairperson for WiLAT (Women in Logistics and Transport); Ing. Mark Amoamah FCILT, the CILT Ghana President; Mr. Patrick Andoh FCILT, the CILT Ghana Executive Secretary; Mr. Oliver Bowers CMILT, CILT Ghana Next Generation Chairman; Mr. Frank Osei CMILT, CILT Ghana Administrative Lead; and his Special Aide, Mr. Frederick Dadzie.

During the visit, Chief OWUSU-NORTEY expressed his appreciation for the King’s dedication to the education of his people, as evidenced by his establishment of an Education Foundation.
He pledged his personal support and the support of CILT to train and mentor the beneficiaries of his bursary through our WiLAT and Next Generation groups.
Additionally, the CILT International President assured him that as a Son and Royal of the Ga State and the first African and Ghanaian to become the Global President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, his office is available to collaborate with His Royal Majesty in any capacity within the logistics and transport sector whenever needed.
The King assured the CILT delegation of His relentless support to the office of the CILT International President as the honour is not to his State alone but to Ghana and Africa as a whole. He added that the position and visit is timely as the Institute’s objective is now needed than before to sharpen the global economy and its citizenry.
His Majesty advised the CILT delegation to immediately set up a working group to explore a practical collaboration that will benefit both CILT and His state.
His Majesty prayed for the International President and wished him well in all his endeavours.
