The Pentecost University College (PUC) in collaboration with The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ghana (CILT Ghana) is pleased to invite prospective applicants to enroll in the:

1. INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

2. INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

3. INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

 The above programmes are scheduled to commence on Monday, 27th July 2020.

 

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Practically manage logistics, warehousing, ports, fleet and transport operations at a supervisory level
  • Join the world’s most established professional body for Logistics and Transport professionals
  • Use the skills and knowledge acquired to succeed in one of the most important, enjoyable and financially rewarding sections of the economy
  • Qualify for the grade of Member (MILT) and pursue the Professional Diploma Programme in Logistics and Transport.
  • Participate in all activities of the CILT, both local and international
  • Enjoy the benefits of a new type of career continuity that CILT offers its members

 

TARGET GROUP:

This course is designed for senior managers, middle line managers and supervisors working in the field of Logistics and Transport, Freight Forwarders, personnel in Supply and Transport department in Government Institutions, the Armed Forces, Police, Fire Service and Customs Division of GRA. The others are Warehousing and Stores Managers, Airline Workers, Shipping Companies Workers and other Professionals who want to pursue a career in Logistics and Transport Operations and Management.

PROGRAMME CONTENT:

1. CERTIFICATE IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT -CILT (EVENING)

This is a modular programme designed to increase core skills and knowledge and build the confidence to improve personally and professionally. Candidates must complete three core units, and then have a choice of one unit from a selection of five optional subjects.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this programme, participants ought to have been educated up to Senior High School (SHS), GCE Ordinary and Advanced Levels with minimum of credits; or equivalent professional qualifications.

 

2. DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT -DILT (EVENING)

Candidates must successfully complete five (5) modules through examinations (2 Mandatory (M) + 1 Elective (E) + 2 Optional (O)) or (2 Mandatory (M) + 2 Elective (E) + 1 Optional (O))

It is advised that students/participants who want to specialize in Transport Management or Planning would select 2M + 2E +1O permutation. Those who want to specialize in Logistics or Supply Chain should select the 2M + 1E + 2O permutation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Possession of the International Professional Certificate in Logistics and Transport
  2. Possession of a University Degree and/or HND (or equivalencies) coupled with relevant areas of study.
  3. Holders of B.Sc. Ports and Shipping Administration Certificate
  4. In addition, participants must have worked in a logistics and transport environment for a minimum of three years

3. INTERNATIONAL ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT – ADILT (WEEKEND)

The Advanced Diploma aims to give senior managers and leader’s strategic management and decision-making skills to enable them to aspire to the highest levels of management. The Advanced Diploma also includes organizational planning. Participants are expected to become familiar with analytical concepts and to use them in their management role. They will be aware of ethical issues, sustainability and global environmental issues.

Candidates must successfully complete five (5) Compulsory Modules

  2. Leadership and Strategic Management
  3. Strategic Network Planning
  4. Delivery Strategic Performance
  5. Research Methods and Professional Projects

Entry Requirements:

  1. Possession of the International Professional Diploma in Logistics and Transport of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport or
  2. First Degree/Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport or Procurement related discipline with any accredited institution.
  3. In addition, participants must have worked in a Logistics and Transport environment for a minimum of three years.

 

COURSE FEE:

CERTIFICATE IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (CILT)

The course fee is £190.00 (International fees) for both Ghanaian and International Students and GH¢2,600.00 for Ghanaian and GH¢2,800.00 for International Student (Local fees).

 

DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (DILT)

The course fee is £220.00 (International fees) for both Ghanaian and International Students and GH¢3,400.00 for Ghanaian and GH¢3,600.00 for International Student (Local fees).

 

ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (ADILT)

The course fee is £250.00 (International fees) for both Ghanaian and International Students and GH¢3,600.00 for Ghanaian and GH¢3,800.00 for International Student (Local fees).

Note: The course fee includes course materials, tuition fees, international student registration, local membership fees, field trips among others.

 

DURATION:

CERTIFICATE IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (CILT)

The duration of the course is six months, five (5) months course work plus one month for revision, assignments and examination.

 

DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (DILT)

The course covers two semesters.

 

ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT (ADILT) 

The programme covers trimesters (3)

 

VENUE:

Lectures will be held on main PUC campus – Sowutuom. Online Tuition is also available.

 

FACULTY

The programme is facilitated by experienced PUC and CILT faculty (full time and adjunct), as well as visiting industry experts.
